Effective messaging

  • Keep messages concise: SMS has limited space (160 characters max) so use simple and direct language. Avoid unnecessary links.  
     
  • Add personalisation: Include your brand name in the sender ID and tailor messages with the recipient’s name or other relevant details.  
     
  • Send relevant content: Make sure your texts are timely and meaningful to your audience. Avoid excessive messaging.  
     
  • Mind your frequency: As a starting point, aim for 4-8 messages per month, then adjust based on customer engagement and preferences.  
     
  • Always include opt-out instructions: Make it simple for recipients to manage their preferences.
